ABCs of Purchasing

This program provides employees who are new to the purchasing function with basic purchasing information to enable them to control the purchasing process, reduce costs, reduce inventories, and manage supplier relationships.

What You Will Learn:

  • Outline the essential elements of a purchasing system.
  • Recognize the effects of purchasing practices on inventory management.
  • Utilize various sources to find new suppliers.
  • Develop a system to monitor supplier performance.
  • Identify value-added activities for use with negotiation strategies.
