The goal of this program is to prepare non-Spanish-speaking supervisors and employees to use Spanish language skills to enhance their ability to interact with Spanish-speaking employees.

- Discuss employment issues.
- Assist with time and work schedule issues.
- Promote work regulations and safety considerations.
- Issue common commands for the worksite.
- Learn about cross-cultural issues in order to enhance the relationships in the workplace.

Spanish for the Workplace is published by Command Spanish®, Inc. and includes a special section devoted to pronunciation. This manual contains the
following work-specific language sections: Greetings and Goodbyes; Etiquette and Social Niceties; Communication Strategies; Introductions and Self-Identifications; Holiday Greetings; Numbers; Complimenting Employees; Employment Issues – Hiring and Dismissal; Time and Work Schedule Issues; Work Rules and Regulations; Medical Emergencies; Safety Issues; Command & Control for Site Supervision; General ESTO Commands; and Other Useful

Instructor Bio
Diana Ide-Gonzalez has worked for KABA for five years as the Director of Training. She conducts harassment & discrimination prevention workshops in both English & Spanish, along with Spanish for the workplace classes, and First aid & CPR training. Prior to her position at KABA, she served as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, and has also worked in Risk Management for a large fortune 500 company. She holds a BBA in Human Resource Management from UW-Madison and a Master's Degree in Public Service from Marquette University. She lived in the Dominican Republic for 3 years as Community Economic Development volunteer for the US Peace Corps.
