Communication Skills - Group Leadership 2 - IA/Western IL

Individuals who are not officially "management" employees, but who provide leadership or informal guidance to a work group without the power to hire, fire, or conduct performance reviews. These individuals often do the work while providing leadership to their work group.

What You Will Learn:

  • Describe a communication model and discuss typical causes of ineffective communication.
  • Give clear directions.
  • Build positive listening skills.
  • Analyze communication styles and identify the strengths and weaknesses of your own style.
  • Use nondefensive communication techniques.
