On June 29, 2009, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle signed Wisconsin’s budget bill, which amended the Wisconsin Family and Medical Leave Act to cover same-sex and opposite-sex domestic partners, and provide certain rights to the domestic partnership, including employer benefit coverage.
